‘Their latest sale, Design, takes place on 12th June in New York and is further proof they’re the coolest outfit on the auction scene. The die cut, Newson-inspired catalogue is beautiful enough to merit auctioning itself. Traditional auction catalogues suffer slightly by being a bit dowdy; in some cases (and no names obviously) you can almost smell the mothballs through the paper. But Phillips’ catalogue is a world apart, designed by hip London outfit John Morgan studio and proof that well-lit, well-styled photographs only show the lots off better.’ (Wallpaper magazine online, June 2008)
